MSc Mathematical Sciences
East Tennessee State University (2021 – 2023)
I’m Mark-Daniels Tamakloe, a data scientist with a background in computer science, mathematical modeling, and applied data analytics. I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master’s in Mathematical Sciences from East Tennessee State University. My career is built on applying analytical rigor and data-driven strategies to solve real-world challenges in healthcare, finance, and public policy.
My expertise spans machine learning, statistical modeling, causal inference, and time series analysis. I’ve led projects involving predictive modeling, Bayesian optimization, and geospatial data clustering, including research on the 2022 Mpox outbreak and the environmental impacts of foreign direct investment in Ghana. I’m proficient in Python, SQL, R, and Power BI, with experience building end-to-end data pipelines, interactive dashboards, and scalable data models to support decision-making.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend deep technical skills with a clear understanding of business and research needs. Whether working on academic research, mentoring students, or developing solutions for public and private organizations, I aim to create measurable impact through data.
I’m currently seeking opportunities to apply my skills in environments that value innovation, collaboration, and a mission-driven approach to solving meaningful problems.
